For a mere $18K........ Droptop Customs LLC. will do the convertible conversion.......... of course, you have to buy the Challenger first..... $$$$

Interesting story about that green Challenger. It was supplied to Drop Top Customs to get the top designed and prototyped, then head off to Sema and magazine articles/shoots for Dodge and DTC promotion. Something happened that had Dodge and DTC pissed off at each other and Dodge took it back. This is how it ended up:

Large corporation's waste is ridiculous..................amazing what power "one" person has at a company and what they get away with. Wonder if "Nancy" is still holding her position after it was all over the net? ............or she is holding her position on top of her boss?
I had a similar story, My dad for 5-8 years had to drive a truck to make ends meets as the electrical trade was horrible. He drove for a company hauling motor parts for FORD between plants on the east coast to Canada. One haul as they were unloading incomplete engine blocks the receiver said; "There is one too many on the trailer, we are not going to accept it." Pops calls his dispatch to inform, who calls him an hour later and tells him; "Shipper doesn't want it back, drop it somewhere." ..........WTF? Pops didn't have anyway to hold it to bring it home and he would get in trouble if they found out he kept it. Some employee at the receiver end said;"I will take it off your hands."
He brought home a side of beef one time for the same reason, one too many on the trailer.

Dont know what it is about the challenger, but not a fan at all. i like the new camero, but only at its concept stage. they changed the front end and lost interest. and the new mustang... eh, maybe.
the whole retro look for the cars was ok, but with todays tech, they could do alot more

Got my newer axle thrown in the heep last night. Went pretty damn smooth other than the hell I went through to bleed the brakes! Other than that issue the actual swap took less than 3 hours!
Gawd it feels nice to be at 4.56's!

Must have had a huge air bubble in the lines somewhere. Bled almost 2 bottles of fluid through last night, and still had no brakes. Gave up and re bled them this morning and got a massive amount of air out.

O yeah it gets up and goes now! Haven't taken it too far yet. Driving to firestone in the morning, will se when I am on 25.

Yeah flat land highway was nice but once I hit altitude and lost power the 3.55's were not cutting it. Hell half the time I had to be doinf 4500 rpm's to stay at 45 going up 70
