Re: The Colorado BS thread

seen roofers cutting metal corrugated roofing with a skil saw with a carbide tipped blade installed backwards worked pretty slick, but just for thin stuff .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I did but in a different design.heavy as sin. But never leaked ( I still don't get people complaining about leaky locks, mine never leaked, ever) and they took a beating.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Back in the day when the Race -a- cop car was first built:

His funeral is Monday. Gonna be rough.

Was he the one that kept and raced that thing? I was at high school drags and I got to race him. Funny deal was talking to him about my GTO Judge "COOL Guy" showed me under the hood and he had a wood spacer under the carb. Said he was tinkering around with sizes and well he found what worked best then he would have one machined out.

Told me how they got that car in a drug bust.

He whooped the shit out of me at the drags that day with his lights on. Told him I would get the judge going and want a re-match.

Dave and another Deputy, Randy, were the two that put the program and car together. They were initially the ones that kept and promoted the car, did all the work to it and yeah...... the wooden carb spacer...... hilarious! I believe they eventually got a high-rise intake manifold for it.

Lots of drama came with that car after the first year. Insurance hassles. The County Attorney trying to shut the program down for liability concerns. Making it available for as many events as possible resulted in them being told to allow a Deputy who had no idea how to drive a manually shifted auto with a high stall torque converter take it to a school. He blew the engine.

I wish I had pics of what that GTO looked like when it got seized.... hideous. Jacked way up in the back, 15x10 True Spokes on bias-ply Mickey Thompson M/T's. It was white with blue "fade" to the bottom. All the glass had been etched with Mexican girls clinging to the stems of roses and what not. The engine was an earlier 389 with a tri-power (3-carb) set up - not factory for '68 and not real desirable for racing but cool. At the body shop, the tri-power was stolen from it when the car was left behind the business overnight.

Physical Challenge:

It's absolutely impossible to bite your own shoulder without using your hands.

We had a contest at work. It was hilarious!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

No way. You actually got shoulder skin in your mouth?

We're in risk management - we're very stiff people.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

indeed -- admittedly, 15 years of competitive swimming left me with fairly loose shoulder joints, but it wasn't what I would call a challenge.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

My pudgy, double-chinned self was able to do it.... Surprised myself actually. :dunno:

You give me WAY too much credit. I'm not that smart...... :firedevil

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Yep, I'm able to as well. I contribute the ability from being chase by my sister with scissors and having to watch my back all the time when we were little.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

No way in HE!! I'm even gonna try that one!!!!!!!!!!!

My sisters taught me well....

:D

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Grooved/siped boggers are completely different than non modified they don't slip sideways on the slick snow on the roads up here and can stop with authority on the 13% snow packed grade ...and on same 13% snow packed grade gave enough traction to pull my stuck Dodge uphill ...this display of traction only keeps me undecided on next set of tires .

you need bigger shoulders , but being able to bite ones shoulders is not the thing that one is able to do alone .
