Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I didn't get A deal today. I got THE deal on a new Hobart 230 Iron Man. The cute little manager at the Murdoch's in Littleton is my new best friend. This thing was originally $1399, but I talked the lady down because it was a floor model and had a few scratches and dings. Got her down to $799! Minus the $350 in cash I got from my Hobart and this puppy cost me approximately $400 out the door.

I am a happy little shit....It's about time, because I really needed something positive to happen.

I'm not familiar with that trail, why do you call it a one trip sortta place? Was it too rough, not rough enough, not pretty?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Haha no it was amazing, if you know where Italian Creek is, it is an upper shelf road to get you from Cement Creek to Italian Creek. There is a pathfinder at the bottom of that cliff that just kinda scares you into driving better haha... I will do it again, but it was stupid of us to do it in just 1 vehicle. This trail leads to American Flag Mountain which has amazing scenery too here are some more pics

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Any recommendations on a quality whole home humidifier that is patched into our HVAC unit? I've been reading some mixed reviews on the Honeywell units they sell at HD.

Does anyone here have experience with one of these? It's so dry in here (9%) our wood floors are starting to bow.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Frank_Z's day job is HVAC...last I heard.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Frank's gone commercial, none that petty anny home stuff.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Dodged a bullet yesterday...

Yes, I took this from inside. :D

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Did your block freeze?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

There was ice in the reservoir bottle, the 5/8" hoses were rock hard.

No green puddles or crossover contamination, after I got it warmed up...I don't think I broke it. :)

I've used a sears model before, works fine. FWIW, Frank hates them for some reason -- install is a breeze, you can do it yourself.

We've been keeping a pot of cinnimon and orange water boiling pretty much 24/7, smells nice, and keeps the humidity up pretty well in our little basement flat.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I'm in the basement of my new house... upstairs remains unfinished.
