Re: The Colorado BS thread

Nice. Here's some more.

Senator Manchin told me what the media will do if Congress (including the US House of Representatives) fails to pass an AWB and/or mag restrictions. "They will one, by one, put up pictures of dead children. They will show the carnage." Considering that tomorrow, President Obama will be exploiting children by dragging them on stage with him while he outlays his plan, this is not a huge leap. And these are the words of a United States senator. We, and I don't mean just West Virginians, I mean Americans, must prepare for this. That is a direct quote. Verbatim. We

Watch this and share it.
They blocked the original video. Someone else uploaded it and its spreading.
More and more people are uploading it to keep them from blocking people from the truth.
I am not one to believe conspiracy. But I can't deny this. Too many flaws to not be a hoax.
Please watch all the way and share before this one gets blocked. If it gets blocked. There are more people uploading it.

Those trucks have gotta be such a hoot to drive....... When Robby was drifting that truck, you could see the suspension was so supple that the when the tires started to chatter the whole axle would bounce. Definitely not engineered for drifting.....

Seems like it'd be more difficult to maintain that 2 wheel trick with the enormous travel the suspension has on those trucks. Lots more body movement to have to control.

Bravo to both of 'em! I'm jealous too.....

If the video was a little more clear...you'd be able to see me! :D I was standing there videoing that......was awesome to see in person!

Here is the video I took. ( click on it )

Thanks!
Dr650?
Is that enduro?

I want to figure out what I can replace on this bike with newer parts.
It's a 91. I'd like to put 00+ tank and plastics on it.
Gotta find out if its possible.

It wont. You might get away with a front fender fitting with a little modification but the tanks changed so much from then to now. Trust me.. I used to work for Grand Prix Motorsports... Used my employee discount to get an entirely new set of factory plastics for my 01' before I bailed. Finding graphics that aren't ugly is the issue I'm having. Might find a place that does 3M graphics and has the templates for your bike. I would advise you to do the same. I have a contact still I'll try to get a hold of that I know does that sort of thing, or at least can point me in a proper direction. Body work typically fits model years on bikes like cars.

anyway, if I get in touch or anything I'll try and remember to let you know if you need some graphics. Old plastics will be hard to find to. Short of going to a dealership and ordering factory plastics (expensive) you'll be hard pressed to find a plastics kit from like UFO or MSR anymore unfortunately. Tucker Rocky and Parts Unlimited will be your best bets for aftermarket plastics if you can still get them.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I got my kawi front fender and number plate installed.
Found a set of rear plastics for 75$.
I chopped and modified my old kawi rear plastics to fit for now.

My biggest issue is the tank and front side plastics. Might take some fabrication.
I want to retro fit a new tank so I can use newer plastics also.
Just have to find someone with a 96 yz250 to let me test fit

I have a buddy that can make me full color decals for it. Since I can only get white plastics. I'm going to go that route and have custom decals made for it.
If all goes well. I will let you know!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

$15k...Reminds me of the cars that were parked for sale on consignment at Wolf auto off I-70 ...lol...talk about some unrealistic owners . I really find it hard to beleive someone paid $16k for it ...lol...even more that this passes for a classic collectable ...I mean sure it's a nice looking vehicle ...lol...But the MJ is no more a classic collectable than a dodge omni .

Well hold on there just a sec.... You may not realize or know that the '92 MJ is the absolute LAST of the Comanche's. Only 952 total trucks were made for '92 with production stopping on June 12th 1992.

So, that truck is 1 of 952. And for that reason alone, I believe that's why it did so well at Barrett Jackson. I wonder if it would have brought more money if it had been left stock/original.......

Trivial to some........ Simply awesome to others. :D

We always seem to need more people. The pay is not that great; temps start @ $13.50. Maybe the two are related???

Anyway, we are an AAR M-1003 certified shop. Our welders have to certify in FCAW and SMAW with A-572 grade 50, and bi-metal with A-572 grade 50 to Stainless 666.

99% of this work is performed from mobile repair units. If you like to be outdoors with torches, hammers, and welders, you might like this place. :)

LMK if you want more info.
