You think my XJ is tall...lol...this is now on 42's and sits around 5+ taller than my mud truck ...I'm waiting to see how the double tri link front works on the trail if it works well I'll be dumping the radius arms . his 42's got me wanting my next set of shoes already , but I need an Atlas and ORI struts first ...He still has the stock 231 with 2.72 gears a stick and 42's , And I think he will find that is suck when climbing anything challenging for 40+ tires .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

isnt that the dude that ran 40s on a d30?

Yes this be he. A friend and I talked him out of running the 42's on the d30 and now has a fully loaded dynatrac 60 front under it ...But like I said it's 5+ taller than my Jeep and he's lifting it more ...I'm 107 WB he is at 109 he wants it longer ,but is not moving the gas tank ,which I guess will work with 16 inches of lift and only a d60 rear ... I'm just waiting to see how 2.72 gearing in the t-case ...AX-15 ...stock 4.0 and 42 Iroks do when attempting to put a 42 on top of a 40+ tall boulder without a step up I know my 40's on my set up did not want to step up on the big rock at spring creek , which is why i had to make a run at it to bump up on it ,which is why I caught air in the video ...I think his money would have been better spent on Getting an Atlas and a few other things and keeping the 40's rather doing 42's , But he's a good friend of mine , and he'll be wanting to compete against me this summer , So we'll see how my 39.5's do against him ...I honestly think that since I'll have an Atlas by August and ORI struts b4 septempber that I'll be killing him on his 42's

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Did some serious spring cleaning around the house this weekend. Filled my little MJ trailer and this morning after work, off to the dump I went.......

Can you believe this load cost me $76 to unload??????? Friggin' robbery!

If I'd have loaded it into the Dually, it would have been $48 because the majority of it would have set fairly level with the bed. They charge by height at / above the bed rails. If it were taller than the roof of the truck it would have been $87!!!!

What's worse......... there was a enormous pile of steel racking/shelving there that someone dumped before I got there. I coulda unloaded my trash, loaded up that steel and got PAID MORE for the steel at the scrap recycler than it cost me to dump the trash............. :banghead:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

We just went to the dump station(not actual dump) had the truck
Full and a trailer about 3 times the size of yours full
Had 2780lbs of junk and it cost us 78$ to dump it all.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Maybe it's the "convenience" of taking it to a transfer station (which is where I went) than to the actual land fill. 4 years ago I took a dually truck bed of tree limbs/branches piled above the roof line to this same transfer station and it cost me $41.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

That's where we went was the transfer station. 78$ to dump almost a ton and a half of junk.
If we took it out to the land fill.... Probably double that. Lol
Fwiw...
A trailer load of branches and pine needles only costs a cheap donation of canned food right down the street at the "slash program" lol

You denver guys are getting ripped off. Lol jk.
