Made it into Hammertown yesterday and got to check out the vendor booths and some of the rigs, I'll leaving the hotel here shortly and go catch the race. Its perfect weather out here, low 70's and almost no wind.

You guys are just jealous.
Just got back to the hotel and showered up. It was a long, hot, and dusty day out there. Temps weren't too bad but being out in the sun all day takes its toll. The father in law and I decided to head back into town before it got too late as our hotel is about 1.5hrs from the Johnson Valley OHV.
I scored a Smittybuilt XRC8 from the 4wheelparts booth for 40$ off. I decided to use the savings and get 4WP's no questions asked full replacement 3yr warranty on it. I'll be able to pick it up from the warehouse in Commerce once I get back.
Saw some awesome racing and amazing rigs. I wound up running into some old friends too so it was a blast. If I would've had the money the PRP guys were offering up some crazy good deals on their seats too, but unfortunately for me I am a broke mofo.
On with the pics:
In-n-Out Burger. That shite is delicious
They had a jumbo-tron set up by the pits. Actually spent quite a bit of time lounging in a chair and drinking Bud Light Lime throughout the day.

I've got a bunch of shots from Chocolate Thunder too, but its a lot to go through right now and I need food. Here is the view of Hammer Town from up there though.
I'm definitely coming out here again next year and I'll be trying to stay for the full week so I can check out all of the pre-running and catch more of the teams. I didn't get to see nearly as much as I wanted. I'm going to have to try and get my Jeep out here too so I can run these trails. They're gnarly as hell.

I will not be working on the jeep tomorrow. Gunna pick up some seats and motor mounts at chads, move a gun safe at a friends house, then hangout with my girlfriend. I hate welding inside my jeep. positions are wierd. I used a welding blanket for the carpet and then used jeans for the side. I ended up cathching the jeans on fire when I was welding and by time I had my helmet up it had burned my speaker box. my dad is gunna be pissed as soon as he sees it or this... sorry dad.

And the reason tonight sucked. this happened on my first notch of the night. Learned my $50 lesson on why not to use HF crap.
My wrist still hurts.

Used to do a lot of dirt biking out in johnson valley/bell mountain, there is a trail that goes to the colorado river near there ,, we used to have to pre run it the week before and stash gas so we could ride those huskys and maicos to the river, those things got terrible mpg
