Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

So I guess I'll take your place as the older guy in this group!!
I know of semi-developed ocean front property in Baja, 50+- km south of Ensenada you can lease at a really good rate. A few retiree's have put up modular homes on the property and it has excellent beach fishing especially if you like halibut. TECATE is the tops. Mike

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Should I replace the AX-15 tranny itself or would it be cost-worthy to just have the syncros replaced? I've apparently used the wrong gear oil, they are shot as I have to time my shifting to make things happen.
My rig has a bunch of miles on it (470,000) and there is other work needed, ie: rear main seal(major leak), and the clutch drags causing hard shifting, especially out of neutral.
I can help with the work or I will need help getting things done with my gimp arm.

Found this gem on Facebook, and thought it was funny enough to share.

I was at WalMart buying a bag of Purina dog chow for my dog , in the check-out line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. Why else would I be buying dog chow, RIGHT ??? So on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again, and that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up i...n the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in inten............sive care, with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and all you do is load your pockets with Purina Nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care, because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff a poodle's butt and a car hit me. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Better watch what you ask me and be prepared for my answer.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Because this has been beaten to death, I'm throwing it in here.

Anyone run a locker up front only? like a Powertrax? Some say its not bad in DD snow driving, others say its scary as all get up. What do you think?

I'm buying one today probably.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

A PowerTrax no-slip would probably be fine, its a very smooth engaging locker.

My post count will now be........ 4126
