Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Big fire, lots of smoke. Hope it wasn't from an un-extinguished campfire, people's houses are burning. Can you see the smoke from COS? Probably not..

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I can't see anything from Centennial... what's goin on jacobs?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I saw it just after it started from the top of the "Tower of Doom" at Elitches -- nasty looking, hot, white smoke... Hopefully the winds will calm tonight and they can contain it before it goes apeshit on people's homes.:eye:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Guy wants to trade his Olds for my truck. Its a cool car, not really my style though. What do y'all think of it?

1956 Olds 88 Super, 324 rocket, hydromatic auto trans, 63k on the clock.
Near perfect condition, minus some faded paint and what looks like a small dent in the front passenger door... completely unrestored.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

if it were something you coul trade and pick up a cheap daily while that one gets some chrome redone and whatnot, then flip for some serious cash, sure. but not as something that would get driven repeatedly

Re: The Colorado BS thread

run a magnet over the body and look her over real good though and make sure it's not a bondo queen. lift up the rubber floor mats and look by the kick panels... they're notorious for rust there. also look at the trunk floor real good.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

ya ever heard of lot rot? ya gotta drive em so the seals don't dry out, and what better way to advertize?
his truck is DD, if he trades truck for car, the car becomes DD. THAT is a bad idea.
ya, needs to be driven or at least run a good amount. but something like that needs a complete overhaul anyway just to make it really worth somethin

Re: The Colorado BS thread

in a few years... your truck is gonna be worth squat! right now that olds is worth more than your truck to somebody.... and the value is gonna keep climbing if ya take care of it:dunno:

I've got a 99 F350 dually.

Problem is, I don't have time to do anything to it. I ship out in a matter of weeks now.

I'll be doin just that. I'm almost certain its legit though, no bond or anything.

I'll be driving it a little bit, but IF I do trade I'll likely pick up a cheap bike to get around.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

before ya ship out put her on jack stand and cover it up. and get ya some silica gel bags and throw em inside to keep the condensation down, and bag the carb and the exhaust so no critters will inhabit it.

Nowhere to keep it.
