i have been recomended to use extra stock isolators for a cheap way to get
a few inches up front( about 2")

well i did a searched>>> to find out out about how much lift each isolator
provides....but i ended up finding varying answers

so...

how much lift does each extra isolator give???

how many total(including the one that was already there) will i need for around 2in???

is there anything i might be concern about as far as stacking several up??

and while im at it how much lift does the grand cherokee springs give??
thank you guys

the biggest poly spacers I've seen sold are 1.75 inch, so I would stick to that, 3 extra per side.

daystar sells 3" poly spacer, the probpem with isolators is they are soft rubber not hard poly, I have used them 2 per side max and not on each other but with another poly or alum spacer inbetween. I dont think thye would hold up using them jsut by them selves. too soft

V8 zj coils give an inch to inch and 1/2 lift

Why bother when you can find cheapo poly spacers anywhere, e-bay, pepboys autozone ect...

I would reccomend just spending the $$ for new coils, it will be worth it in the end, also with 2" lift over sock you will be maxing out your shock travel. Could try barpin eliminators for 3/4" and upper shock conversions for another 1".

well tomorow im going to a pick and pull

if i find a v8 zj im gonna try to ge those coils if there still there

other wise....

i gotta find 6 isolators, wish me luck..

well my dad(car salesperson) scored me a deal on some isolators from the jeep dealership parts department, so they'll be brand new wich takes a bit of
worried from my mind....well wish me luck on the lift...

How much did you end up spending on the isolators that you're going to use? I'm curious how does it compare to buying poly as you can have those pretty cheap if you shop around.

The stock isolators actually are reinforced with steel inside and stack ok. I used 4 per side on my old setup that I got for free from the junkyard, but the local state inspector didn't like them too much so I got full springs.(much better!)
