COD MW2

...anyways. I was playing team deathmatch and guy decided to leave in the middle of the match cause he was getting his azz beat. It paused, found another host and resumed at the same spot and everything. I think that's pretty cool compared to other versions where the game would of ended. I want to see what happened with "team killing"

WAW was not made by IW. It was the other def company... dont recall who they are off the top of my head. IW has made most (if not all) of the good CAD games lately. Looking back, you should notice every other COD game is pretty damn good, the other years.. not so much.

I am currently at work. I have a job.

I work until later in the evening and my neighbors have young kids who pass out early. The work i am doing on the Jeep now involves lots of noise so working late into the night isnt a real option... so I have to prep alot during the week and get work done during the day on weekends.

I cant wheel until I get the work on the Jeep done :(

I dont sit on the couch, I sit on a comfy chair at my desk.

Only console for now (see below :)) but I may actually pick up a copy for the PC as well once it's out, esp if PC version allows custom maps and dedicated servers. haha But its great. Brings back alot from the original (I was suprised) with greatly improved physics. Its awesome seeing someone duck into a house. So I shoot the wall with a rocket or my nade launcher (blowing the wall away) and then me and/or my buddy unload into the house killing the guy who just ran inside. :D

I already play it all the damn time (if you have a 360 I really say it's worth the money until its out for PC). It does have it's issues, but I am hopelessly hooked. I play more of that game than I most of the full games I paid full price for... and it is just something like 4 maps (plus a flight only portion), multiplayer only.
 
I've got my copy for my 360. I plan on trying it out as soon as I get off of work tonight.

Exactly! The games get stupid when people always have an advantage because they cheat! Can't wait to play it. My Xbox took a dump so I gotta buy another! :(

My fiance' bought me 360 elite, I don't know if they did something different with those, but I have never had any problems with it.
And I don't think I have heard anyone else having problems with those either.

I will be getting MW2 thursday, I will be there as son as the store is open and play it till I go to work, at night, haha.

Mine lasted about 2 and a half years then the disk drive went out. I replaced it then a couple months later it got the ring of death. I would like an elite but not sure If I will get one.

The elite (and any 360 with HDMI out) is a new chipset (less heat generated) and maybe layout, better cooling and such. so they are supposed to have MUCH lower risk of RROD... though I have had an issue with one of mine. I waited until the new chipset/cooling was avaialble before I purchased a 360.

The 360s RROD because the CPU/GPU overheat and causes the board to warp slightly. If the board warps, it can pull away from the CPU/GPU and cause a loss of contact at some pins. This loss of contact leads to the RROD

Just because there are dedicated servers doesnt mean there is cheating. For example Killing floor... it has both, "official" servers (manufacturer/steam run) and dedicated servers. If you run a dedicated server, you have the option... either run it cheat/mod free, or run it w/ cheats and/or mods. There is a filter option where you can select your level of "cheat protection". If you crank it all the way up, only the official servers and the servers w/o cheats enabled are listed for you to join.

Those are some of the reasons I bought my Elite, and what do you know, I got the red ring of death this summer:firedevil

And about a month ago my harddrive took a dumb:firedevil

And when I called Microsoft they said they couldnt do anything for me, but they could offer me a data transfer dohicky that would come with my $150 hard drive. After talking to several different non American representatives I politely told them to shove their data transfer dohicky up their behind.


Whats funny is I can get the same hard drive from Walmart for $20 cheaper than I can from the manufacture. How the hell does that work? And its not even the "evil Walmart" problem, Target and other stores have the same price as well.





Anyway

Im looking forward to gettting MW2, but I need to get a hard drive first, and I dont really want to pay $120 on Xbox stuff right now.
