installed new re HD trackbar mount cross brace
still clunk
tightened all suspension bolts that were very loose
still clunk
narrowed clunk down to pass side rear axle or brakes
still clunk
replaced pass side rear caliper since it was seized
no more clunk , stops great
feels good

Have that same clunk in my rear end had to listed to it at every stop light when I came to the city to get those drop brackets

might be a bad caliper too?
my detroit clunks too, but this new clunk was a noticeably different clunk and was definetly coming from the passenger side.
also check all leaf spring bolts, trackbar bolts, control arm bolts etc etc etc

also check for shock bushings. Both my front went out. pretty loud clunking. and lower bumpstops. those will get loud too.

good fix for this is bfg rubber, i used to go through upper bushings with my old shock set up before i had limit straps. Cut up some some ole bfg mudder sidewall and used as rubber bushing, never went through one those.

yah i still get my detroit clunking, and either my tranny or tcase a little here an there. might be exhaust too. but at least the caliper is good.

Use higher weigh fluid in your rear diff like 140/80 weigh or something like that i have hear threw other people on that it will quite down your rear diff. And I will look for my clunk soon and if I cannot find it. It will find me sooner or later by just breaking.

yah i use a quart of lucas and the 140 weight stuff everytime i change the rear.
i plan on changing all of the fluids very soon
