What's the world coming to? When I learned to climb only east coast wussies used chalk. Westerners never mark the rock.

Then again, you'd have to have hauled me up that 5.11 pitch.

It's been a few decades.

I use colored chalk. The routes out here are covered in white chalk, I think it's a shame. With a little effort you can clean a lot of chalk. It is ugly, and it takes away the challange of route finding. There are even some jacka$$es using non-bio. indoor chalk!
