has anyone run or heard of a clifford header with the dual outlets? i cracked my hedman header and apparently hedman isnt making it anymore. so baxter auto parts offered me 2 choices, buy a stock exhaust manifold or the clifford header. so i went with the clifford but i have no idea about them. just wanted to see how there were

Haven't gotten mine yet. They do make a single outlet one too. They also have a ceramic coating as an option. I paid $75 extra for the ceramic coating on mine. Thats fairly cheap for it. I have two other sets of headers that are ceramic coated. I really like the stuff. I haven't heard any negative on Cliffords. I have Pace Setters on mine now. They are OK. But some have had problems with them.

I've run Clifford headers for 40 years. I'm running the single outlet header on my 4.7L stroker now. I love them. I ordered my header plain and it came ceramic coated. I guess I got lucky. I run the Renix system. The header came with a bung for the EGR, I just had to drill out the middle.

I think the added cost for the ceramic coating is a recent cost addition. I noticed a while back, that they listed only ceramic coated ones or they were the same price as painted.

I was thinking about getting one due to the low price compared to stainless steel versions. For those that have a clifford header, how does the quality compare to stock? Any rusting through or cracking problems? Also, what is the ceramic coating for and is it worth the extra cost?

The quality on the Clifford was top notch. Mine is 2+ years old with zero rust.

I have a Pace Setter on mine now with ceramic coating. I ordered a Clifford a few weeks back. I think ceramic coatings are well worth it. At $75 additional with the Cliffords its a steal. I have another saet of headers Jet Coated. 11 years and no rust. I think it was $300 for them to be coated. Cliffords don't come with a down pipe. Artsound (I can provide an e-mail address) make one for the Clifford for $100 extra. That does put it up there with Borla though.

i have run a Clifford for the past 5 years on my 87 xj 4.0 and it is a good unit. noticed power difference right away. you will have suface rust but all non coated headers do. stainless steel is probably best but pricey, ceramic is hard to beat also and would help with underhood temps because of scavenging , my .02$

sweet, that sounds good. i believe i pick mine up on monday. im not sure if it will have the ceramic coating or not but that doesnt matter much to me. ive taken care of my under the hood temp quite well. mine never goes about 180* even on 100*+ days.

I bought mine directly from Clifford.

or single out?

I got the single out. Duals are a waste on a trail rig and on most street rigs.

does anyone know if the dual out comes with a down pipe or any kind of a pipe to install it to the exhaust or am i looking at getting an exhaust shop to make me a Y pipe to the cat?
