Im doing a CJ7 for my trail rig. Was wondering if I could get some opinions on suspensions..
Axles will be a rear dana 70, front will be a chevy dana 60. Was planning to leave the suspension leaf sprung, but doing a spring over. Id like to extend the wheelbase a bit, had planned on 63" chevy leaves for the rear and YJ leaves in the front, and a shackle reversal. Rear will have a traction bar also. I toyed with the idea of staying spring under with a set of 4" Yj leaves to keep the lift low and everything stable. Also how would things be with a set of XJ springs in the rear?
Trails I run are mostly muddy or dirt, hills, creekbeds, downed trees, etc.
Engine: Dodge 360 with FI
Trans: Undecided
Transfer case: D300 with 4:1, or NP203/205 doubler
Tires: 40" Boggers
