Not sure if it will be interesting or not. If there are no wrecks, probably not. However, my XJ is ow equipped with IRC tracking for the race tomorrow. I am a rescue vehicle in the "rock racing" section of the track... pretty excited.

I can be tracked LIVE at the race tomorrow in your web browser. My race number is rescue 21 (or is it rescue21?). My tracking may not move much, unless I am helping a stranded/wrecked/rolled race truck. But you can follow along at the below URL. On the right hand side, scroll down to Cinco de Baja and live tracking.

Re: Race Tomorrow: My IRC tracking info

From the Cinco de Baja 200 yesterday.
The quality is crap, my video camera died. Used my cell phone. :(
30 something short clips combined in to one video, one or two duplicates.

Had a blast out there. 6am was out marking the rock race section for the Ultra4 trucks. Parade lap was at 10am, race started at 1pm. I worked the "waterfall" obstacle in the 4400 class section of the track. The action was pretty much non-stop once the race began. Some interesting passes in that tight section, some good "bump & go" stuff. A few stuck trucks, some roll-overs, some break-downs. Kept us busy.

Around the 6+ min part, note the Jeep from California demonstrating a new winching technique: Use reverse gear while winching forward. :tears:

Have a few pics, will sort through them tomorrow. But here is my crappy quality video for now:

A shot of a race truck that flopped in the lower waterfall. This is just after I pulled them back on their wheels. They were close to the lead when the flopped on their last lap. They eventually got it running and did finish the race.

Some great sponsors showed up at the Tech, as well as the race:

Re: Race Tomorrow: My IRC tracking info

Here is a much higher quality video of the race. Covers more than mine did (mine was just Ultra 4+). Motorcycles, Utes, etc.. first, then the trucks. 2 XJ's in the video. One racing, and mine can be spotted twice. :)
