i have a 01 2wd xj i wanna swap the motor with a built 350 how hard is it to swap and what trans should i use
is it hard to make an auto a 6spd?do a LS1 with a T56 6 spd, make the swap worth it
Now we are mating a Dodge tranny and a Chevy engine and then stuffing it into a Jeep??
arty:
amc did the same back in the 80's, we would just be payin tribute to the past
I agree mostly, except an LS2 or a GM truck motor with a LS style intake on it would be better. One of the newer 6spd autos found in the 3/4ton trucks are nice as well if you want to go with an auto. I suppose a 4l60/80 would work.do a LS1 with a T56 6 spd, make the swap worth it
Since you are installing a newer motor and trans anyways the swap to stick is not as difficult as if you were going to swap for a stocker.is it hard to make an auto a 6spd?
yeah its getting a crab and its gonna be my weekend ride350 is easy as long as your going with a carb, as for trans, th400 is ideal, but if your going to drive it on the street a 700r4 is a better option....and alot cheaper and easier to find.
