Cherokee returns to the Chrysler lineup........????????

its a jk for a reason, (just kidding)

I've put more consecutive trouble free miles on my 2000 XJ with over 100k than my parents have been able to on the JK they had since new. My XJ has been beat pretty hard off road and on road. Their jeep - just highway miles.

...but probably not back out....

Enjoy!

And the whole time the Traction control light is flashing while limiting the already gutless engine to just off idle.:laugh3:

Chrysler began building the Jeep Liberty at the plant in 2001 when it replaced the Jeep Cherokee. The next generation Jeep Liberty will be built off of a widened version of the platform Fiat uses for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, according to Chrysler’s five-year plan.
:puke:

Marchionne said Chrysler is thinking about returning to the Cherokee name when it launches the replacement for the Liberty. He also said at least one additional vehicle will be built off of the same platform at Toledo North.
hey chrysler... LESS FRICKIN BADGE ENGINEERING! MORE REAL ENGINEERING!

Analysts expect the new Liberty to lose some of its off-road ruggedness so it can appeal to a wider customer base even though that change could dilute the Jeep brand image.
that's kinda what badge engineering does.

Chrysler

I doubt they'll badge it a Cherokee. Last time Jeep sold the Cherokee along with the Grand Cherokee it created some confusion with the buying public. Based on their confidence that a rebadged Fiat will appeal to Jeep fans it’s safe to assume that Jeep’s demographic isn’t getting any smarter; a similar sounding name might be too taxing on their brain cells.
