Cherokee plastic model kit

I think AMT already makes the Cherokee(early model) in 1/25th scale.

Signed, Anyone know the petition creator? at over 500 names it had to be put up a while ago. I wonder if its forgotten... I havn't built a model since I was a youngin. I remember searching for XJ's.

Nadda thing, I worked for a hobby shop until a month ago, believe me when I say I would have posted as soon as I had heard about it.......let alone drug a dozen home for myself.

I've also mentioned that one of the companies needs to make a kit on a model car forum (I kinda want Mobeus too, they're kits are fantastic!), but there are times I've brought them up that some of the "Boomer" aged builders think the XJ would he a waste of money, yet ProLine still sells a bunch of their lexan '92 XJ R/C bodies and Axial just brought out a nearly all new SCX10 kit with a "2000" XJ body in the box, which has also sold well.

I lurk on several plastic modeling forums. Pretty regularly ever year, they hold a survey where you can fill out your most wanted kits. I've been filling in 'XJ Cherokee' for about three years now. I have not heard to what degree model companies pay attention to things like this, but at least it's something. Still waiting.

What's amazing too is there is now a Japan company that's make my hard body xj for 1/10 scale rc's so that, pro-lines 92'xj and the newest axial 00' xj. You would think a model car xj would be thought of more

I agree with you Demonoid, not sure why other than most manufacturers seem to prefer to just keep reissuing kits that are older than I am (I'll be 40 in September) and/or making new tooling of the same cars. That's why I'm hoping that if anybody were to do one, it would be Mobeus, they already have a working relationship with FCA, done fantastic kits of less typically done vehicles and Revell did just bring out a new '83 G-Body Hurst/Olds Cutlass 442 kit, so you never know.
