I have run tires like this on scissor and boom lifts when having to take them offroad. not this exact tire, but the same idea.
I wouldn't run them on a DD, they wear pretty fast.

Wouldn't you be able to stick an extremely hard rubber compound on them?

Is the rocking when braking form the way the tire is?

I don't think its the tires. the whole thing is rocking, if it were from the structure of the 'tire' then part of the tire would stay stopped.

If they could somehow make it to where a similar compound could replace the inner tube, where you can still control the pressure. That would be ideal.
