Calling all Colorado Chapter O-G's!

I want to start a Chapter Scrap Book that tells people who we are. The objective is to give a total stranger a positive and fair impression of who we are as a chapter.

Since I have been around since July of '06, I have witnessed:
The chapter's involvement with national's raffle jeep.
Assorted meet & greet/car crushes, with kids of all ages.
Wrenching parties: I carried the ball with the "Navy Vet" jeep, but there has to be more!
Seth Stanton: Deployment, funeral, memorial/cleanup run, plaque dedication.
Land use: Mike Lopez got the chapter motivated for a cleanup on Old Stage Road. I finally got the chapter registered in the USFS Adopt-a-Road program.
COFest: I attended one, took some pictures that are hosted on photobucket. There are reports from other years, are there still pictures?

WHAT (OTHER) EVENTS ARE SIGNIFICANT TO OUR CHAPTER'S HISTORY???

Keep in mind, the idea is not to present a chronological history. The idea is to give a total stranger an idea of who we are as a community.

Once we identify these events, I'll want to make an outline and will start asking for pictures.

COfest 2007: Camp with DJ's XJ on trailer

COfest 2009: Wheeler Lake

Fallfest 2010

China Wall: Stumpy and myself and a couple of Nissans

Buena Vista 2012

I see Jim and Lynn, miss those guys.

COfest 2013: Lost and Flores

COfest 2014

That's on Photobucket. I've more I haven't uploaded. I probably have film somewhere that I'm not terribly motivated to search for and scan from the very first Colorado fest and NAXJA meet-up.

What?!? DJ's rig getting towed?!? :D

What we do when we go shooting:

Hard at work on the giveaway jeep.

The Hanger where many projects took place.

Working on Seth's Jeep at the hanger.

Those are awesome Fred!

I will try to dig some pics up as well! I should have some from CO fest, 2006 I think.

I've got a shit-ton of pics. Every COFest since the first one in '04 except for 2012 & 2013, all of the build pics of the raffle Jeep, pics of working on Seth's rig, chapter meeting pics, various chapter runs, Fall Fling '08, etc. I'll start posting as soon as I go through and pick out which ones are worthy.

Seems to me:
1. Shouldn't our media guy be involved in this.
2. It makes more sense to me for those of us that have large numbers of pictures to just copy them to a dongle or card, and give that to whoever is going to work on this scrapbook.

or am I seeing this scrapbook thing wrong?

I've got access to a vast majority of pics (most are posted here on the board). I know nothing of the scrapbook or how it would help online??

Yes on both points, but as I am the one who wants to develop this tool, I'll take the initiative and the responsibility to see it through. I will in fact need help with this project, and the O-Gs are already coming through.

Many pictures are on line. Go to the older threads and you find many pictures are no longer hosted. :(

As I stated above, I view a picture scrap book as a tool. Long ago, I worked in Direct Sales, and then Market Research. I feel that having an organized presentation would help us on the ground, and on-line.

Best part is, you don't have to be "Salesperson of the Year" to point at pictures and tell strangers about the FAWESOME! things our members have done.

Might be worth tossing in info about helping crispy get his rig built at leds shop. Had a ton of folks there getting it all tossed together.

I forgot about that, good catch!
