CD player mod

is it a stock in dash cd player...i have my ipod hooked directly into the cd player through an aux input that came with the player...bestbuy 119. dollars. otherwise the only option i see is running through the fm tuner. The itrip version for an ipod works well, but is expensive and you could probably find a cd player with an input for cheaper.

First of all, this should be in Street tech, not Off Topic....

Second, since you have a Pioneer, there was a chance of getting an external auxilary input, but it only works on models that have a P in the model number (like mine, DEH-P3600). It refers to wether or not the unit has an IP/bus input. Since yours doesn't have it, the direct input isn't an option.

You can however get units that plug into the antenna and use radio frequency's to play audio through your radio. They don't have the best sound quality, but they aren't that bad either. They're made by a number of different companies. If you wanted to keep your current radio and have the input, this is pretty much your only option.
