I have a 98 XJ with a sony cd player and a 400 watt amp and 525 watt sub. Nothing special, nothing i would brag about. But it sounds halfway decent. My problem is that since this spring ive had the cd player shut off on me when it the volume and or bass is turned up. Completely shuts off, no sound screen goes dark. And its not just when im playing cds, it does it on radio too. I have a new battery, Im now wondering alternator? Anyone else have experiences like this or have any other ideas?
