Wanted to post a "wanted" ad but couldnt get it to work. I am ready for lockers. Dont want to blow a bunch of money on ARB'x. Hoping someone is ready to upgrade to something else and wants to get rid of their D30 and D35 with lockers and gears. or maybe a D44? I have an 89 XJ with a RE 5.5 lift and a Deaver leaf pack in the rear. Anyone got any axles or parts?

OK.... Didnt do that because I dont want to waste anyones time that lives on the east coast cuz I aint gonna pay to ship stuff. Wanted to find parts locally.

Not a very user freindly site if I cant even put up a wanted ad to get my rig ready to go on one of the trips that nobody shows up for............

All the boards are running pretty much the same these days - some features don't work until you join - membership has its privelages. that's true here, at pirate4x4, and just about everywhere else.

I'm a new member as of March, and it took a few beers before I was ready to throw-down a few bucks that didn't go directly to parts (I have about 8 XJs, so you know I have to be frugal!)...but my time is worth something too, and I find answers here. it has also saved me from being ripped-off by scammers at smog shops.

So let me take this opportunity to personally invite you to join. There are guys here who've done what you're doing, and they can show you how.

Thanks for the frank reply. The intention is to help promote memberships. I know that is hard to understand for some, but I feel that the fine people who pay to join and support this club and its website should have priority when it comes to the perks of our forum.

As to the comment about not being user friendly, not sure if you noticed, but I didn't just delete your thread. I merely suggested that you might find a bigger audience on the national forum. Other non-members have posted wanted ads without being deleted. So long as they don't happen every week, I don't mind at all. Enjoy however you wish and try to give a little back when you have a chance.

I guess this is why you're president and not me. I would have just told him to stfu and gtfo with that attitude, but that was a very pleasant and welcoming response.

WOW!!! I guess all I can say at this point is that I am glad I didn't pay any money to use this website. I would be asking for a refund about now. I thought this would be a good way to learn more about what options I have for my vehicle and meet a few good people to hang out with on the trail. I never suspected I would have someone want to tell me to STFU. I guess it is ok to post profanity ( yes! STFU is profanity,,,,,we all know what it means and you wouldnt let your 12 year old say it) But it is not OK to some to post your opinion on the shortcomings of this site.

since joining ive learned alot about option for my rig, ive got alot of advice too, ive also met alot of people to hit the trail w/ as well i.e. phil's rubicon run

Perhaps you should reconsider they way you say things then because your choice of words is poor to say the least. You insult our forum, you insult our runs, and then get all pissy when we aren't welcoming you with open arms.

You make a coment like this and become upset with a personal attack? I find your attitude in your posts very repulsive, and it seems like you want to start some sort of drama. It is a very simple idea, to help promote this club, and the Sierra Chapter. There is a for sale section on this board, it even has a search for zip codes to help you keep it local, you do not have to pay.

is what you make of it, I have met some great people from this board, people I now hang out with and have become great friends.

Welcome to , as you can see, we are very welcoming, in that we allow anyone to join.

Welcome to Sierra Chapter. We are not at all selective about who is in our Chapter. In fact, if you live in the described geographic boundaries, you are automatically in the Sierra Chapter.

These simple facts are good news for you, since it means we don't actually have to like you in order for you to be in our club. As you may imagine, this can cause some problems. If you don't like what you see, perhaps we are not the best club for you.

There's a really neat club called Jeep Unlimited you might like. They do really cool projects like building locked D35 to handle 38" tires. The also do lowered 4x4 Xj's so you can add bling-bling. If you need a PVC roll cage that would be the place to also look.:confused1

Now, if you are looking for real world, hardcore, no BS advice or help you found the right place. Yes sometimes you need the have thick skin around here but it's mostly in fun.
but for the small price of membership you to can enjoy the full knowledge of . There are lots of areas that don't even show up on your screen because you are not a member. Hell the Den is worth the price alone!!! What's the Den?? You will find out if you join
