I finally got around to putting in my resurfaced head, I got all the gaskets my injectors I wanted to put in from the junk yard. I also had a exhaust I wanted to put in.
while everything was out I changed out the exhaust, I had to modify the rail slightly to get my injectors to fit but just the rail no wires or nothing. It needed to be done so the injectors would seat correctly.
I flushed my coolant and reassembled everything I took off which was the ignition coil, the compressor and bracket, distributer cap and wires, air box and lines, fuel rail, intake and exhaust, fan, thermostat housing, belt, power steering pump.
I believe thats it. While the intake was off I clean it really well and the TB too.
After refilling the system and making sure I check over things, I started it and it started idled really low and with very little power and shut off... (i forgot to mention my battery died from my light being connected to it for 3 days)
So before I could start my sis came over to give me a jump. But again it idled low and then shut off. I put a Gauge on the fuel rail and got a real healthy quirt before I got the gauge on and when I did just putting the key in the on position gave me a pressure of around 40.
I need some help! Do you think its the injectors? I'm lost, I don't want to take my injectors out for nothing but i really need my ride up and running again! any help is appreciated.

I ended up carrying the battery to autozone because it was really dead. They gave me a re-placement and said the battery was no good, I also brought a alternator just in case.
I put in the battery and still no start its turning over, I'm getting fuel at the rail. I'm getting spark, I popped on a compression gauge to check the compression on at least one cylinder and I got compression that increased with each crank. starting at 40.
I in fact got it on by checking the dis. rotor and adjusting the little metal tab on it, up a little bit (I remembered I cleaned it last night figured it was worth a shot) after lifting the little metal tab it started as long as I gave it gas, soon as i stop it shut off??????
I'm loosing my mind my neighbor is suggesting its out of timing, But as far as I know 4.0 ignition timing isn't adjustable, right?
If it is, how? Anyway I let it sit,.... did a quick check over the vacuum lines and then I started it again and had to give it gas to get it on then after keeping it at a steady idle for about 5 minutes or so I was able to let off the gas... but it idles at zero the whole time. Plus its not starting without me giving it gas?
Any ideas? Could the resurfaced cyl. head be causing problems? It looked to be nice and clean.
here's a pic of it:
