Can I put my ashtray in the dishwasher?

I wash everything in the dish washer.....Just washed a few trim pieces last weekend. Just make sure to turn it on cold dry and plastic goes in the top rack.

Why spend time washing when I bought a machine to do it for me?????
Maybe lazy but more efficient!

Meanwhile, just lick it out like she told you. If you had done that in the first place, she may not be your ex.

It's bad enough kissing a smoker but licking a smoker's box?
I would drive out of state just to make her lick it clean.

Why not go with a tranny instead. At least when they smoke it's your pole.

What a way to ruin a Jeep. I would rather smear dog shit inside my Jeep.

This is kinda unrelated, but has anybody seen a dishwasher converted as a full time garage parts washer? I've been keeping my eyes open for a cheap half-broke ass unit to convert myself. I'll keep washing my dishes by hand, but greasy engine parts are better left to the machine :D

I bought a built in and confiscated the wifes portable for the garage. It sits next to our old range that I have pluged in to bake on finishes!

Make sure you fill it with gasoline.
You can buy a real parts washer for less than $50 at HF.

Well, right. Also, way to be a jerk. :tears:

I know what a typical parts washer consists of and I do just fine with my homemade unit. However, I would suspect a dishwasher would do one hell of a job with all its spinning jets and whatnot. Thats kinda what I'm looking for. I guess I don't consider a tub with some degreaser and a little pump a parts washer.

THATs a parts washer. But $5k for a box with some spray nozzels and a turntable? I think not, besides, I don't need the capacity. A nice roll-around dishwasher with a high pressure, heated closed loop water based solvent spray would be a great time saver.

I also am looking for an electric garage oven for small parts powder coating and baking on high-temp finishes on manifolds and such.

How is your dishwasher setup? Just hook it up to the garage sink like you would in the kitchen or something more elaborate? My garage is separated from my house with no plumbing so I'm thinking of a way to create a closed loop system. I think it would clean ashtrays really well too! :moon:

I cut the sink faucet adaptor off (as its a portable) and put a garden hose connection on the water inlet hose for pressure. It drains into my septic holding tank which I have pumped out by a friend in the business who then takes it to a municipal treatment plant for disposal. Just lucky I know the right guy. I do use the internal water heating function!

A closed system wouldnt be a hard thing to do either. A small circulating pump connected to a strainer (like on a jacuzzi), a garden hose and an extension cord and walla!

Im a plumber so that parts easy.

Hmm...do most dishwashers have internal heaters? Also, do they have a step up pressure pump for the jets, or is that run at municipal pressure?

As you can tell, I've never EVER even used a dishwasher!
I know, I'm sheltered.

They have an internal pump for pressure as once its filled each cycle its pretty much a closed system until its time to go to next cycle then it drains and refills from water source. Not all have a hot water assist feature.

I'll give you one if you want to come get it. It's at my dads though about 130 miles SE of me.
