Can an Optima fit stock?

I have a buddy who works at a Sears Auto Center and claims that a XJ can't fit a yellow or red top stock? Is this true, and if so, how have some of you modified it to fit?

My red top fits just fine. All I had to do was to flip over the small support bracket that goes from the front hold down bolt to the radiator support.

Ditto. Flip that and you're golden. One of these days I'm going to make my own custom battery tray so, just so I can tuck the battery down a little further, but it's not a priorty because it's good enough as it sits now.

I did not have to do anything on either XJ or the TJ's but put the battery blanket around them and bolt em in.
