Camping this weekend.

check the link I posted, there are details on how to find it, with maps on that thread. its pretty easy... would be cool if you came out.

Also, if anyone just wants to come hang out but doesn't have any camping gear, my wife and kid is staying home, so I have an extra bed in the camper. Just me and the dogs going this time...
 
I want to go camping in Georgia! :( Oh well, I'll camp in Indiana and wheel! :D
 
If you feel like a road trip you could come up to Uwharrie and be at the Jamboree this weekend :)

:/ If I didn't have company coming down this weekend I'd go.

I hope to make another trip out to Jocassee before they close it back down for the season. I want to get out there and make a trip with you guys eventually...

Gold Rush Festival is going on in Dahlonega also, so if you are around there you may wanna stop by..........its pretty neat. I lived there for 4 years while in schoo. I always loved Gold Rush because it always brought in Fall behind it.

You could do it in the Ford or baby Jeep from what I understand. It sounds like a great time I would love to get down there sometime Stump. My set-up is not even close to the expanse of the ExPo guys, but I am just as comfortable and happy with my backpacking stove and hammock. The biggest thing to me is just getting out, getting away and relaxing for a weekend.
 
I've got kids this weekend, too many to bring them, so I'm out for this weekend but I really want to get down there and hang out soon.

My rig is not really equipped for camping but I have a popup..... that's not really equipped either.:D Oh well....at least I wouldn't sleep on the ground.

Stump, do you guys plan for every weekend?
 
I'm getting too broken down to be able to hobble around in the woods. I also need a real crapper since I'd never get off a bucket. I know.....to much infomation.
 
Nick has it.

There is no 'special' rig needed for this stuff. We had a guy come out to Country Fried Weekend last year in a Honda accord. This has nothing to do with wheeling, although we occasionally go ride on forest service roads just for kicks. Its about getting out in the woods with like minded people and enjoying nature... people have back packing tents, hammocks, old military sleeping bags on the ground, tear drop trailers, $50,000.00 African made safari trailers, and popups. plenty of people just sleep in their vehicles. There is a HUGE amount of diversity in how we go camp on the these outings, but the common ground is nature, and fellowship....in fact, I think we are planning a nature hike, followed by a few rounds of Bocce Ball (fueled with whiskey of course), and finally having conversation around a roaring campfire whilst enjoying a few adult beverages, if you so choose.

Mark, bring the kids!
 
sure in GA but nooooone ever finds their way out to eastern NC to do anything. :D my jeep is itching to meet other jeeps in the chapter ;)

Ok you had me at camping... but now this is some real bait! One of my all-time favorite camping/beach/tailgate festivities.
 
Ok maybe the ford could make the trip one weekend..... I'f I did not need to sell this 97 I'd seriously conside keeping it and start a expo build up.... Really need to sell it though...
