Yeah. I got tired of the director I had to deal with when I was running a maintenance crew, and told him he had to hire someone else because I was stepping down.

The idiot he hired couldn't read a level ("all three bubbles had to line up") and couldn't read a tape measure finer than one-quarter inch (?!?); but he showed up in a shirt and tie every day (which is what the director wanted. He didn't like that I defined leadership as "follow me" and I was a working supervisor.

(I don't know any other way to lead people!)
