Holy shit, how did that happen?

wow..... oow.... damn... hhow hard did he hit on his rear bumper to do that? did that bumper only incorporate the stock mounting positions?

It was at the entrance to Doran. Ron, Remi, Mike, and I made it through without too many problems. Rabbit got his right rear up against that big rock. First, he busted out his right tail light. Then moving back and forth, he then scraped his door, then the rear quarter, then finally the hatch caught on the rock and just tore it off. We were all

It was funny because none of the Wrangler guys tried the obstacle and they thought we were nuts, especially Rabbit.

-edit- It wasn't a hit on the bumper. The rock just caught the side of the hatch as he moved forward.

Was Remi spotting for Rabbit? That would explain it. :laugh3:

 I wonder what made you arrive at that conclusion?
He was going forward and if he still had his taillight he probably would have gotten away with it, but the rock caught the hatch and peeled it right off.

In any case, It'd been a blast! I'll be posting some more pics (plenty pics) later on. ALso many thanks go to Captain Ron and Artis for some GREAT food Sat night.

Doin' mods....the hard way. You were talking about going doorless, just didn't know you were talking about the hatch.

I think I hear the hum of a sawsall off in the distance.........................

Just got home...Had a great time thanks to everyone(rabbit, remy, ron, and tim) and had some really great food thanks to Ron and Artis.

I'll be back with a few more mods and one less trailer hitch next time!

Thanks to All,

JohnX

Actually Rabbit was planning on picking up a hatch from a boneyard on his way back, and if he strikes out there, then this coming Sunday from one in OC.

Here's a few pics I took: http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=te2xbqn.5ozzopm3&x=0&y=-l47si2

Amazing how much one obstacle can change in a week or two. Lower was washed out pretty good, mucho tippy.

Not too much of a problem for me getting up, got on the gas more than usual at the top...

Remi took an interesting line, and made it work. Got set left on the last set of boulders, in a preview of things to come...

Johnny did a great job of looking smooth. Ended up a bit left also...

Mike was looking golden right up to those boulders, probably would have had it first shot if the bead held on the left rear....

Rabbit went right for the very tippy left line, pretty dramatic. Getting that right front up, well, you've seen the pics. Major points for sticking with a very aggressive line...

All in all, pretty entertaining obstacle.

Notes:

On the next waterfall, everyone that bypassed the lower section put on the show. Lots of wheels in the air, and tippy lines.

Sequoia can wheelie...

Bent and Ethan do things open/open that can make you jealous.

Never got a chance to talk to Sintax, how'd I let that happen? Nice rig too.

Hinano.

Jay might have been a blacksmith in another life. Does a great field weld in this one.

It's alot of fun introducing people to rockcrawling, JohnX had a big smile going.

Good to see everyone have a good time, and no major breakdowns.

Let's do it again soon, what's next on the calendar...

As soon as I do a few reinforcements to the front area of my jeep (I already got some parts @ home from Dan @ loosenuts and parts on order from Greg @ C-rok) I am going back to that damn entrace. So lets shoot for early march?

Damage may be somewhat like rep points. Should spread some around before giving it to...

:D

Stoddard could use some.
