how are you guys doing paint on interior cage stuff? complete mask off? brush on? i live close to the ocean and everyday im making more work for myself.

when i get around to it, im most likely going the brush on route. i wont have to sit there and mask off the entire car.

i dunno how you guys do it, do you garage your ride? sinse i saw your truck like 3-6 weeks ago, ive flashrusted allmost completely. i do live near the ocean, but not that close!

ive allways heard about the wd-40 + scotchbrite trick, and now i know why, stuff works excellant! got the rearward part all sprayed... all the interior was out so i said f it. ended up using rags and plywood. i'll take a moist scotchbrite to the metalwork for overspray, and take a blade to the glass. i am using a neutral color.

my jeep sits outside, last time i really cleaned the cage was about a year ago, wd-40 and scotchbrite pads. did wonders. so what you saw was about a year or so of surface rust.

I used Rustoleum in the pint cans. Use a trim roller(2 inches wide), and a sponge brush to get the tight spots. It actually covers well with one coat. Just dont put it on real thick if it's cold outside or it will get some wierd runs/wrinkles.
