I am in need of some cage ideas, and then cage fab and install. shouldn't be too hard, it's completely topless and will have the carpet/interior/seats ripped out. should ease the install a wee bit.

whatever happened to the guys in the springs who were pimping their cages all over the place? d and c i think?

Yep, if your rig has the top chopped off, a cage will be very easy indeed.

D&C Extreme ( http://www.dandcextreme.com/ ) is still making XJ cages, but one thing to consider, their cage kit is intended to be installed inside - with the roof and doors in place - so, in your situation, the kit cage would look a bit silly (small) and make it cramped getting in and out. Another concern is that the D&C kit cage isn't really designed to support (or in your case take over) the structural integrity of the unibody - I don't think ANY bolt in or weld in kit cage would make that claim. However, Damien at D&C certainly could do your custom cage work and make something pretty slick for your particular application.
