Does anyone know if the Custom 4x4 bumper for the 84-96 XJ will fit on a 97 or newer XJ? Got any pictures? TIA!

(If you want it to, you can make any bumper fit anything.)- but no i dont have any pictures. I think it does, and I have one for sale that fits the older models if you are interested. Dont take my work for itthough, I havent tried to bolt it up to a newer one yet. Any one else know for sure?

I have the newer model bumper on my 00' xj, and have seen older models as well. I think the only difference is the way they make the ends of the bumpers blend in with the contour of the body. It is different on 84-96 xj's, but i bet they have the same bolt pattern. But dont take my word for sure, never tried it. Find someone with one in the area and try bolting it up if you can.

There is the link to thier page. I am running thier bumper and tire carrier, and it works great! I havn't got hung up on the tire carrier yet, so it's all good still.

:wstupid: Whoops. Just realized your question. And, I can't answer that for ya. Sorry. I do know the dif between the two is that the older one stops at what would be the bumper caps, whereas the 97+ goes all the way around to the wheel well. It's worth a shot if you get it cheap

before you go out and buy one...
they bolt up fine but the new hatch is wider than the old hatch. you either have to trim the bumper or trim the hatch. here's what i did.
after its done i think it looks better that the newer models.
