C-clip eliminaters for 8.25

Early XJ DANA 35s didn't have C-clips. The axles were held in place with a wheel bearing retainer plate. The big problem with braeking an axle on an 8.25 is if it breaks at the spline then you have to fish the remaimder of the axle out of the differential.

How do you ID the different Dana axles. I've got an 87 and am curious.

perhaps off topic here but,
this is the second time Ive read about c clip eliminator
Ive never seen one
do they even make one for any c ip axles that are pertinent to a Jeep
8.8, chryco or a D35??

Bottom of the page. That one should work for the Chryo as well, as the bearing surface of the shafts, and the bearing itself is shared between most GM, Cryco and Ford axles. Check to be sure, though.
