whoa! sweet looking jeep. 5.5" longarm kit??

dude, that looks aweseme! so are you sticking with the 37s?

and just a suggestion, but you could've made this "update/progress" on this thread of yours...

"my cherokee update"
...just something i've learned from other forums, and it helps keep all your progress together, and allows someone to see the entire progress from the get go...
again, just a suggestion.

I am replacing the grill, putting a very beefy custom winch bumper and moving the winch out from back in the grill. Where I wheel, my front bumper stays pushed into larger rock walls/ledges and I need somehting way beefier than a tube or slimlin bumper. On my TJ, I gave my Warn RC bumper a workover and it stayed bent out of whack. I will probably add a small hoop to this one before it is all over though.

dont quote me, but seems to me like the first hard bind you get in and lay in the gas those front flares are gone. i dunno you and have no clue how you wheel but imo, if they were on mine, i dont think they would last very long. they do look damn good though!

I think you might be right... but, the pics may be deceiving us. I honestly dont see any way to run fender flairs (bushwacker or not) w/ large tires... unless you're running way too much lift. Hopefully they'll last but for some reason I doubt it..

Like I said, I trimmed the fender flares quite a bit underneath and did some testing. If I need to trim more, I carry air on the trails with a cut off wheel and will trim until the clearance is satisfied. There are many people that say alot of things can't be done, but I generally don't listen. :)

I hear what you are saying, but I do not "Lay" on the pedal while my steering is locked or axles are bound up. While I may not be the most "extreme" wheeler, but I think I am definitely a "smart" wheeler. Hopefully they will last. :laugh3: I will trim til the cows come home.

I just installed that bumper on mine. I had to notch out a place in the back to get the winch bolts in cause I didnt want to mount it farther back and have to cut into the grill. Its definetly built strong.

Took some tonight, give me a day or so to get them up. They are on my buddy's camera.

Chris, got any under-side pics of the trimming that you did? Is that a '98 that you have?

Looks great. That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks.
