I may be an idiot, but I can't find the lamp type for the underhood lamp. My XJ came to me missing the lamp, and I didn't see a replacement lamp type listed in the manual. I'd appreciate a clue. Thanks.

How about a clue as to what year XJ? Do you have the old style light with an exposed bulb, or the new type with a rectangular lens?

Oh yeah, it helps to know just what we're talking about. I have a '96 XJ Country. The plug harness is loose next to the plastic lamp mount. Looks like the bulk just plugs into the harness, which clips onto the mount.
