Ok, I have decided that Im going to build them because I am cheap and would like a good project. I plan on using 2inch 1/4inch wall DOM tubing, I have a few questions before I start, I have the axle off, I want to use the stock bushings for the axle mounts and some superflex ones or something for the frame mount, where could I get those, does Napa or Autozone carry something like that or do I have to order it. Also I was wondering if I should make new LCA and UCA mounts on the axle or just use the stock ones, I don't really do any hardcore offroading, mostly daily driver, just doing this mainly for better on road ride. Right now I've got 5 inches of lift with 33x12.5's, I've searched and read most of the topics on building longarms, but I just want to understand everything before I start this. Also pictures and how you built yours would be very helpful. THanks

What type of suspension are you building? Radius arm, 3 link or 4 link?

Im not sure, whatever rubicon sells, I think radius arms is what their called, Just doing longer lowers with the uppers mounted on them, just would rather not spend a grand on them when I could make them myself.

the idea for these came when I bent a LCA mount on the axle, so thats the first thing I have to fix, what would the best way to fix it be? I just bent the crap out of it and ripped a little bit of the weld off on one side, I was thinking of just grinding it off, bending it back straight and then reinforcing it with some triangular mounts that would be welded to the axle and to the side of the LCA mount. Also I would add a cross support towards the bottom of it.

XJ Vikings: too late, already finished the mounts, used 1/2 inch steel, so Im pretty sure they won't break again. also bought the steel so I'll be starting on these pretty soon.

i am not for sure where hinckly ill is but i have 4 of the sleeves that a stock bushing can be pressed in. let me know if you are interested in them. email me please. i will explain more when we talk.
