How does the width of a 74 bronco d44 compare to the D30 ? and the F150 of the same year ?

Foud a Bronco D44 pretty cheap, and am considering going with it, and maybe a matching 9"

Is the Bronco driver side drop?

As I recall, it's a little narrow. I also think it uses a low pinion center section and small u-joints. Cutting down a 75-78 F150 High Pinion 44 without the cast track bar mount to use waggy shafts is a pretty common route to get a good D44 front. Research this as there are a lot of articles covering it. Jeff

Meaning it WILL collide with your oilpan.

FIFY.

EB44's are LP, had smaller joints, ~58/59" wide, and some have drum brakes.

a 74 f150 9" rear will be a full width 65/66" wide axle, should be the HD housing and 31 spline. if its a "matching" EB 9", itll also be narrower then stock xj, and most like the regular housing and 28 spline.
