Okay my Jeep went in the pond yesterday and today it smells really horrible, I dunked it a few times in swamps, however it never smelled this bad, so whats the fix? what air freshner do you guys use? Febreez works good on my shoes ( yes water logged with the same water) so will it fix my problem? or will it just mask it?

I plan on getting a steam cleaning this week, so any ideas tips or hints will work for me!

Later!

Jeff

I forget what it's called, but you can find it in the pet department at Wal-Mart. The bottle claims to remove the odor and stains from urine, blood, vomit, feces, mildew...etc...non-toxic, organic...contains live microbes that apparently enjoy eating human and animal filth.

I use it to hide the evidence.

Pull the carpet, all of it, as well as the backing, rig up a clothesline and and start cleaning it, The backing will take the longest to dry out and will hold most of the nasty stuff. It is a toss up as to whether it's better to just toss it and buy new replacement or try to clean the old stuff. I would also pop the drain plugs and scrub and rinse the floor out and while at it look for any rust spots and hit em with sandpaper and paint.

One of the major advantages of the TJ's is the carpet comes out before we head off, all comes out in about 30 seconds the plugs as well, neatly folded and waiting till we get back.

But pull the carpet and consider Herculiner.
