Bought another XJ...

So... heres an update.

Today I ordered one of the infamous 8.25 29 spline spartans, for a fawking deal. $300 shipped.

Tomorrow I am ordering the el cheapo Rough Country 4.5" kit with AAL, I feel like its plenty for my needs, and Ill upgrade to Long arms eventually in the future. I am getting a 12% Discount from a local vendor, Rides of Conover, awesome shop. Making the price right at $435 shipped.
Ordering my XRC8 tomorrow also, also from Rides of Conover, for $300, believe it comes with the free winch cover, same price as about everywhere, I will live.

I am also going to have Rides of Conover build my front bumper, and maybe my rear bumper and some sliders aswell. This is the front bumper they will be building for me.

Thats an update for now... Tires are going to be my biggest issue, hoping to find a deal between now and then, if not Ill be buying the 33x12.50x15 Multi Mile MTX's for $170 a pop or running a buddies tires for the weekend.

Pieced together a set of not so warrantied Chromos for $250 with spicer 760s and full circle clips, so Ill be ordering that in April, and the front spartan in april too. Thatll be $465 shipped. Tires will be $680 unless I find a deal.

Basically Ill have about 3800 in a pretty sweet rig/dd.

Frusteration continues...

So I replaced the upstream o2 sensor, checked plugs and wires, pulled distributor, reassembled everything as it should be, IAC has been replaced recently, still has a terribly rough idle and I am starting to fear the worst.

Nest on the list...

Check all vacuum lines, if those all seem good.
Swap #5 injector with #6, and see if the miss moves to #5, if the miss stays at 6, I know the injector isn't the problem, and will continue my search. Fearful the head may be cracked is no fun, if all fails.
Compression Test... Depending on results, Seafoam. Hell, probably seafoam either way.
 
Engine isn't overheating, and really doesn't seem to be losing any coolant, so I am hoping its something more simple.

Swapping the head is not an option right now, being that I am broke from ordering all these parts.

Seafoam is like automotive magic if used properly, if used improperly, goodbye motor.

So as I said I had ordered my Xj 4.5" kit and my xrc8, well today I got down to the shop to pick up the goodies, and Brandon mentions he took in a XJ winch bumper and XRC10 on trade, both in pretty sweet condition, and said he would let em go together for $400, and warranty parts if I had any issues.

Couldn't pass that up so I picked it up.

So today for $850 out the door I got a XRC10, winch bumper, and lift kit, winch has been pulled 3 or 4 times I was told, thing is clean, looks like it sat on a mallcrawler because the protective winch cover was faded to all but the winch and cable look brand new, remote too. Bumper is a homemade piece out of rectangular 2x3 and some hrew and 3/16 plate. Its pretty beef.

Also, reset PCM today and drove 140 miles before CEL came on... FML I was really thinking I had solved it.
 
Put a crank position sensor in the jeep, vehicle idle is flawless now, miss has pretty much disapeared as best I can tell, checked for vacuum leaks, found none. CEL is still on and comes and goes. I will get to the bottom of it, but for now I am much happier.

Got my winch and winch bumper on last night. Gonna cut the fenders tomorrowm and go over odds and ends. Throwing the lift on and locker in the 8.25 next weekend.

Ill be running some crappy 31's for the jamboree it looks like, but Ill have my 33's and all by the club uwharrie trip in April.
 
4.5" lift kit is on, bleeding the brakes today, and a few other odds and ends.

Winch bumper is on, finished drilling holes to bolt it up. 4 bolts per side is good enough I hope.

have not figured electrical shit out yet, having a buddy of mine look at it hopefully friday, hes a wiring guru, always been able to pull fixes out of his ass for these kind of things (hes an import guy, used to dealing with them haha)

Just gotta drag my yj to the driveway (Lost keys) and swap wheels and tires and the jeeps good to go... Gonna do a rough alignment and trailer it all weekend, then get the firestone lifetime alignment on payday :D

sorry for no pictures, my phone still says it has no SD card, even though it does... refuses to take pictures, share pictures, etc... Ill get a buddy to grab some pics when its finished.
