BOTD: What beer are you drinking today?

Smuttynose IPA
Coronado IPA
Victory Hop Devil
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Dogfish Head 60min
Rogue Dead Guy

have all been in the fridge for a few mins here and there.

Yeah, I'm sure in theory it is.

But nothing that's supposed to be cheaper ever works out that way for me...

Robert

Works the same way for me.

Once I buy a Kegerator I may start to buy the home brew kits.

Bought some Terrapin Summer Wheat (Sun Ray) Not a great choice..

Blue Moon (non-seasonal) is my all-time favorite. Shock Top is a good, cheaper alternative. I tried a blackberry flavored Sam Adams this weekend that was really good. A couple of weeks ago I had this awesome vanilla stout that I found in my local Lowe's Foods. I wish I could remember the maker. It did all kinds of bad things to my digestive tract, though. :-)

Sam's Clubs around me sell Blue Moon, FYI. They sell other beers cheaply, too (ie: Corona). The problem is you have to buy so much of it at once. That's a problem for me because the only time I have a drinking problem is when alcohol is around. :-)

Nothing, I'm at work... but the regulars are Blue Moon, Sam Adams (boston lager, winter, summer, oktoberfest, cream stout, are you a microbrewery or aren't you), Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, and Corona. yeah, I said it, corona, you can shoot me now.

What does that have to do with it, I'm at work and enjoying a nice grand habano corona gordo and a black and tan.... as I am verifying my tape backups from last night. :D :D :D :D

well you're so cool now aren't you!? :spin1:

Company policy here is no alcohol on site, no alcohol paid for using company money, etc. Apparently beer does not project the image we are looking for... according to corp marketing anyways.

Dude, it's cheaper to brew your own.
Ummm... not really..... maybe if you're really brewing in quantity. I've got several hundred bucks in equipment alone, and even if I was doing all grain brewing and buying in bulk, I'm still looking at $10-20 for a 5 gallon batch. OTOH, I can brew what I like (and I'm starting a wheat beer and a sweet stout tonight.)

See, that's kinda what I thought...

Can't believe everybody likes Blue Moon so much, I wasn't impressed.

Or any of the pale ales, for that matter, just not my cup of tea.

I like the ambers a lot. Leinenkugels is good, and Mt Carmel is brewed right up the street, I really like that one.

guiness
killians
yeungling
great lakes brewing co black out stout

and when im going wheeling and i know others will be in my cooler
bud light (at least on top lf you dig down youll find yeungling)

That's the beauty of home brewing... Brew what you like. Nothing I make is a particularly hoppy brew. My kolsch should be carb'ed nicely by the weekend. The wheat beer I started tonight should be ready by the 4th, and the stout a couple of weeks behind it.

Still, support your local brewers. Which reminds me, I should think about stopping at Flat Earth and picking up a growler. Maybe Friday.

oh yeah... Wachusett Blueberry. How the hell did I forget that one?!

Robert - dunno, I really like wheat beers and ales, so Blue Moon goes on the list.

Working on a Summit Horizon red ale and a Kristoff churchill, someone dropped off a couple of cases for our lunch meeting.

My brother in law used to love Blue Moon. Now he will not touch the stuff. Apparently in an interview, Hilldawg was asked what her favorite beer was and he answer was Blue Moon. So now he says he just can't drink it anymore.

FWIW, I told him not to worry, I don't believe that Hillary drinks beer, just the still warm blood of small children and cute animals.

Cheap stuff (Coors Light) tonight. Too hot outside for the good stuff.
