Left Blinker stays on no blinking, right blinker blinks, any ideas?

Is one of the bulbs toasted? Sounds like the relay but that wouldn't olny explain one side.. I'm guessing the switch..

Where is the flasher located on your 91?
Locate it, turn on the right blinker--can you feel it cycling? Turn on the left blinker--can you feel it cycling? If not...replace it.

I know some vehicles this is to indicate a toasted bulb. However I'm fairly certain ALL XJs do the fast blink thing to indicate a toasted bulb. I second Joe's suggestion.
