It's only an EatonM62...

M90 would be better suited for an inline 6

but for that amount of cash...

You're getting close to a Kenne Belle with a whipple and intercooled.

Gil's right the M62 is found on more than one 4 cylinder engine. Its a roots type, and comes with a nice intercooler. That probably accounts for some of the high price. The dyno results were interesting...

its the same motor as a tj, so you'll have no problems physically putting it on the motor, but realize that you'll have to cut the hood to make it fit. take a look at this picture and see how much higher the super charger is than the valve cover and note how the pully is higher than the valve cover as well as more forward of it, so take that into consideration when pondering.

If you still want to install it at this point, take a look at this picture and see if you can live with this not attracting every look in the world. These are avenger superchargers, but pretty much the same thing....actually...hey, they look identical....go figure....

If you look at the kenne bell kit it comes with a body lift for TJ's. The blair kit doesnt. Dont get me wrong it still wont clear our hood but it wont be such a huge scoop as the avengers supercharger one

i dont care what anyone else thinks ! but i think that having a super charger popping out of your hood would be sexy as hell.(minus that crazy ass scoop! )

I thought so too until I realized how many problems arise from having a supercharger hanging out in the open like that. Issues running in the rain, issues with cops, issues with people trying to steal it and the jeep....I donno, just doesn't seem worth it to me when you can get that amount of power from a well built stroker for 1/3rd the cost.

is for the rain i don't think that it would be a problem ,if you had a hood with a cut out for just the SC. as for the rest your probably dead on still it would be cool as hell, this could be from the influences of my childhood . but if your engine is still fresh why tear into it with a stroker ? a SC bay be a better option unless your ready for a rebuild and/or the down time with putting a stroker together ! don't get me wrong i would love to have both !:woohoo:

the pully is the highest part of the super charger, think of the angle of the motor. if its not the highest part, its still higher than the hood, so you'd still have a bit of the belt sticking out.

Hijack, but does anyone know if there is a Whipple supercharger that will work with a 4.0? Most of theirs seem to run huge levels of highly efficient boost, I'm wondering if they make one that produces what a stocker or charge-modified stroker could handle.

Or any other brand of Lysholm screw supercharger?

Stroke it AND supercharge it... for the hole, just use a fiberglass dome or something similar. Then you avoid the weather problems, the easy access problems...granted everyone who looks is gonna know you're hiding something big under there, but in my mind something closed like that would work better...especially with something like, say, a snorkel to assist with your breathing issues?

But then, I'm relatively new around here.

i emailed them and this is what i got from them.

> My name is kevin. I didnt see a aplication chart on your website. So i have to ask if your supercharger kit can fit a 99 Jeep Cherokee. Also what PSI does your kit run at. Also if you dont make a kit for the cherokee , will you be coming out with one. Thank you for your time

Kevin,
We don't have an application for your Cherokee at this time. Our system
will bolt on to it but there are some issues about the hood clearance and
intake clearance at the back of blower. We will be coming out with a system
for it, probable 2nd quarter 07. The system produces 5 pounds of boost.

Thanks Jachin

I like this kit cuz i know exactly what i am getting. i go on the avenger supercharger and i dont get that. They need a parts brake down and some pictures of the product before its installed on a vechile and more details.
