And it's worth mentioning that we actually spent a bit over an hour fixing their trail as well :D
Here's a pic.

Congrats!! It's been too long of a time since I hit a trail with you.

As a new member to NAXJA, and the first time meeting everyone out on the trails. I just wanted to say,"Thanks", for making it a great experience! It's nice to see that so many people can get together and have a great time. As one of the more stock XJ's in the group, it was nice have some great spotting, and the occational pile of rocks thrown in.(as I only looked like a turtle a couple of times this trip.) The food, raffle, and organization was awesome. Thanks again to all of you who made it possible. I look forward to future events! See you all soon,, Ken (San Diego)

OK Curt, you've been talking to Ethan again. Huh? What he didn't tell you was what he did to my sliders last time I had him out at Calico! :D

Normal hours? You? Why is it that the word "normal" seems so out of place in a sentence that includes you???:gag:

From what I know he was testing if you installed them straight :D

Hello everyone the new guy here with the most stock jeep there (think the only thing that wasnt stock was the front bumper) thanks for the great spotting sequioa and friends. my wife and i both had a great time and look forward to going on the next trip with everyone and i will have the roof rack installed by then so i can bring my BBQ with. till next time and hopefully i will have mine raised by then (less spotting and winching)

I also want to thank the planners of the weekend and the Friday AAT clean up. It was a great turnout.

The work on 2N04 is effective to keep the trail open and usable (there are few other places in the SBNF, other than 2N04 and Holcomb Creek, where you can soak tired feet steps from the road).

I am sorry I missed the Sat/Sun runs, but I did get my steering box bolts replaced. I found a second upper bolt had broken as well (only one holding the box to the frame). I replaced all three bolts.

After removing the thread stubs and installing the new bolts in the steering box I decided to look around for other neglect (and did not get too far). I found the drivers side lower shock mount pad had twisted and ripped loose from the axle. The shock was bolted up to the bracket, but the bracket ripped apart and bent the coil mount up (a different break from a prior repaired rip at the axle tube itself). Now I know the source of the mild wobble I felt driving the pavement down 38 from the trail. It looks like I will need to trailer the XJ home and begin a new build up this summer (the long delayed project). The morning (Saturday) spent working on long neglected repairs was relaxing. My shortened weekend was not as good as running the trails, but better than working on a non jeep related project (and I did get to play on the Onyx Loop & Sluice Friday).

BTW, great photos. My daughter was commenting on the nature shots and the good looking jeeps. The assembled photos could easily rate a quality travel advertisement for BB.

E.man always gets blamed.....hey it's better to teach him how to drive the way your doing it as opposed to just cutting him loose in the city....one good thing is that each of those battle wounds will bring a smile & a fond memory in the future.....Slap him on the back for me......and give him a ATTA ! BOY !

Yep... normal (for the most part :wierd: ) It'll be wierd not to change every 10 weeks. (20+yrs. of it.) A friend who gets lost in his neighborhood said I should get the job due to the "idiot savant GPS" thing I've got going on. :)

Remi I'm always(almost) glad to to follow you, wherever you may go :laugh3:

I am glad y'all had such a great time....hats off to the AAT crew for their work.
See Ya !
