I'm bringing at least two other jeeps with me (Rabbit and Mike Lysik) :D Anyone else that wants to join us we'll be leaving early Thursday moirning.

I would like to join up with you guys somewhere in Santa Clarita (maybe at In-N-Out off the 5 and Lyons exit) and then caravan on up there. I was planning on going up north to see my cousin in Richmond anyways so he may join us too. The ol' XJ has a new engine so it should be good to go now.

You're welcome to join us. We're going to be leaving for the Rubicon early Thur and we could plan to join up along the way. More or less we're going all the way here. Rig requirements are here

BTT...

Just trying to get an idea of who is going to make it and for how long.

1. Shannon
2. Sequoia
3. Sintax

Anyone else commited?

Shannon, my lott will be coming as will my neighbor. 2 stockers to beat up on the trail. What trails are your running up there? Holcomb I hope one of the days?

Right now the only thing that's been decided is 2N02 (just to get there, although you can run up another way and meet us there) on Friday night, and John Bull on Saturday, still figuring out the others. Suggestions are open. I'm thinking of hitting holcomb creek, gotta see if I can go through it and not bash up everything under the Jeep on the rocks under water this time :)

I'm gonna have 2 bone stock rigs on this run so I'm hoping you guys will do something mild like Holcomb. We should be able to get them through the garden without too much trouble. Last time I was up there (in March I think) it was pretty tame.

Mild is good, everybody knows I'm a wimp. :)

Besides, there's somebody else that was thinking of doing it who's green and a friend of mine in a stock TJ might go.

Holcomb is up... Still open for suggestions though. I'm gonna look through my stuff and soon here and get an idea for it. Jim, you're more than welcome to come along on the night 2N02 run, info on it is above, I'll be driving right by upland so you can pull in behind me and make fun of me on the CB on the way out if you want.

Hey I'm new with this whole NAXJA thing and have never been to an event. But I frequently wheel in Big Bear and I would love it if I could Join you guys.

Sure you're welcome to come along. I'll get more details out this weekend or early next week (meeting spot ideas, some will meet up on Friday night, but I'm sure some people will want to meet up Saturday morning).

Keep an eye out, same bat time, same bat channel.

Hey, I've been posting over on socalXJ. I'll be in LA on friday night so I'd like to meet you guys on Saturday morning up there. Haven't done alot so mild is better, plus I have to get home on sunday! I'll keep a watch for the meeting point/time.

Thanks,

Chris

I think I'll be coming up also. Depending on where folks are camping I may try to join up on Friday. It'll be nice to be up on the mountain, my Jeep doesn't enjoy the 105+ temps we've been having here lately.

Enjoy,

Matt

Matt or Chris, Can you guys get the NATO style gerry cans in Vegas? With our BS regulation here in CA you can't get em at the surplus stores here. I'm looking for a source outside of CA.

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. My understanding is that the NATO ones have the three tubular bars on top and the cap protrudes a bit from the can. The American mil-spec have a single handle and a flush cap.

If this is correct then yes we have the NATO ones here. I'd have to look around for a price.

The local surplus store want $27.00 for them. That's kinda steep, I think I've seen them around occasionly for $13.00.

Post where you plan to run on Saturday the 12th, and when/where you plant to start?

If you want to run John Bull in the AM and work your way over to Holcomb creek I may be able to find you along the way (on 3N10 at the 3N02 or 3N32 intersections).

I have to complete a remodel project in BBC, but should be able to fit in a run (JB or Holcomb at the least).

Keep the info posted as the week progresses.
