ah, sorry about that. I'm down to do that; however, I won't be getting to BB until dark...I'm going to TRY to figure out how to program my gf's GPS, but no guarantees LOL. So if you want to wait until 8-9pm for me to get there, then sure!

If I'm around that weekend, I might come up early Sat a.m. or really late Friday, but I'd be more for hanging out and easy stuff. Finally have 31s, but I haven't put my (stock) tcase skid back on yet (haven't bored out the bolt holes so that it'll fit on my rig's reconfigured underside).

No worries, the site is the site. We'll have it clean and ready for anyone to arrive (bear protection), but depending on how early Sat. am means, we might already have left for the trails.

Well I'd either be there after 11pm Friday, or before 9am (or tell me an earlier time) Saturday... But I'd be all about the scenic/fire road run and/or lounging and enjoying the weekend. I'm not feeling the need to whomp on Cali until I get her new axles under her.

There's "something" loose underneath Cali after my boulder-hatching incident out at Superstition. It doesn't feel or sound like something dangerous but I don't want to strain her unnecessarily. I'm feeling like the plan is to wait until I have axles out and everything's clear & easy to see.

OK - so I might take the day off (read: call in sick) next Friday in order to drive up early depending on my passengers' schedules. Forest Service says that site 30 is Open which is good news.

i finished the camping trailer today and she will be coming on this trip for her madain voyage... just have to fill the ice chest and stock some food and i'm ready to roll...

My brother, who is my last passenger, gets off work at 3pm so I anticipate a 4pm to 5pm departure time from Westside LA. If that matches you, Max, convoy with us as we should be 2-3 vehicles.

Well, it takes about 2 hours to get to big bear PLUS a hour of traffic, so I'd say 7:30-8:00pm. We'll be coming up the 38, so perhaps the Starbucks parking lot? Hope that makes sense, I've only been up all the way to the lake once for the past few years.

its on the right side on 38 before u start heading up through the creek area. u cant miss it lol... i can park on the side of the road by the station so i wouldnt be missed !!
