Big Bear - Aug 12th - Deep Creek

Hey gang,

I am going to Big Bear on Aug 11th & 12th to see a buddy from AZ. We are planning on running Deep Creek and Holcomb Creek on Sunday. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Probably be at the trail head around 10:00 AM... We can meet in Arrowhead, near the turn-off where the gas station is at.

May do a night run on Sat on Gold Mountain or something, not really sure.

There is a classic car show and ren fair going in BB that weeekend as well.

Just to be clear, this is NOT an irganized run, nor is it a sponsored run.

I just wanted to invite folks to join me and a buddy runnnig Deep Creek. I do have a few requirements to join us - at least one locker, 33's, tow points Front AND rear, skid plates, rock rails, tow strap, spare tire, spare parts, jack, & fire extinguisher..

Right now there will be 1 full size Jeep, 2 TJ's (one is my wife's) and my XJ. Looks like Rick and Skwerly will be joining...Woo Hoo!

I will post a meeting time and exact location (gas station name and addy) later this week.

Sweet, i finally meet the requirements for a trail!! That Aussie locker works like a champ, now that i have it i'd never go back lol.

I will confirm time and location as soon as I figure out the name of the street and gas station at the turn-off in Arrowhead...LOL Never really paid attention.

I figured it's best to meet over there instead of treking over to the Discovery Center, then back-tracking 30 miles....

Just put the aussie locker on order, so if it shows up in time, I definitely want to go! Other than that, I think I have all the amenities you've requested....as long as a 12 pack of beer can double as my fire extinguisher =)

You should be fine. You may have to ake the by=pass on the waterfall and that's OK.

So actually, anyone can come to this run as long as you have tow points and rock rails...

Awesome! Ok, for those folks staying in Big Bear, let's meet up around 9:15 at the IHOP parking lot in Big Bear (not to eat, just to meet) then we will drive over to Arrowhead and meet folks there at 10:00 at the gas station (still trying to find the name of it).
