best year

i like 95. it's as new as you can get without having to deal with all the additional bull*hit of OBD-II and all the extra wiring and electronics. and if you want a D44, you can just swap on from an 87-88, or if you want a 29spl 8.25, you can just swap one in from a newer one.

I have a 97, and I sometimes wish I had an earlier model simply because there are a SHITLOAD of them at the junk yard so EASY EASY EASY to find parts.

Buy all the parts now - they won't last long with the high price for salvage crushing.

I've seen three yards in my area dry up on '88-90 Renix because they are shipping out crushers for the high scrap metal prices - and they aren't completely parted out. I need some spare computers, etc for the long haul, and they are now getting scarce locally. These are the guys who plan to stay in business. The others will just dry up and close over the years, so I have to act now.

18 million fricking Cherokees will eventually be as common as a '32 Ford Tudor.

:spin1: I've got a '99. I've driven it everywhere and then some. 120,00+, all I've replaced is brakes and the belt. I love it.
