Looking at buying a TJ when I get back from my current deployment and I wondered the best area to look for good prices on one? Hampton, DC or is there someplace better to look?

Depends on how far you're willing to drive and how much you're will to spend.

From what I've seen TJ's tend to carry about the same price tag about everywhere.

Willing to travel about 300 miles from Hampton Roads, about $15,000 tops on what Im willing to spend. I cant get the govdeals.com sight to work, will check it out next time I hit port.

That second one isn't far from me, my friend recently got an '06 LJ in our area with 32k on it for around $16k with a poly lift on it/all stock otherwise.

Sounds like Andys' the one to ask for help searching when Im ready. I never find any good deals on CL when I look.

'sup with the XJ?? You know TJ owners are welcome at the store as well, but we tend to assume they don't know much and just want to look cool for the cheerleaders:)

just kidding, good to hear that you're safe and coming back soon-- gimme a heads-up when the time gets close!

Nothing wrong with the XJ other than I still need to put in the AC compressor I got from ya awhile ago. Will be ordering a bunch of sensors when Im on my way back. My mom just bought a CJ-6 and that got me wanting a Wrangler again, so I volunteered to go out with the Ike. Might be heading right back out with the Bush when I get back. Nice to see you are still rocking the avatar I found lol.

It might be a little far, but a member of my local club is selling is 2000 TJ, Chili Pepper Edition. Here's the rundown:

This Jeep is built as a TrailRider or RockCrawler. It is a turn key jeep that is capable of performing exactly they way it has been built. All you need to do is get in it and have fun.. It is garage kept and currently has 76,xxx original miles. This Jeep needs to be in the hands of someone who can use it for what it is. With me living in southeast GA, my opportunities are very limited.. I DO NOT LIKE MUD... This jeep has been serviced as scheduled.

It has the 4.0 I6 cylinder and a 3 speed automatic transmission

Here is a list of most of my mods.... Almost gets embarassing... LOL
