Enough.

What Ira's peeved about it is support for a product that was bailed out by Obama. Ford wasn't, GM and Chrysler were, although more so GM. If I remember correctly, Chrysler is now owned by Fiat and the AW union. All the salaried people at both companies took a haircut on their pensions, not the hourly. The stockholders of Chrysler lost most of their equity, which went to the union. We spent something in the neighborhood of $20 billion on GM. Why, so union workers have jobs? Gee, I don't.

It's hopeless to base personal product preferences on politics. It's so freaking corrupt through and through, that one would have to eliminate 3/4's of the products on the national market.

Now, for a mere two hundred dollars per hour per person, I would be glad to teach people how to be as perfect as I am. :)

Someone who understands.

Way to ignore acting like an asshole when my view, while different from yours, was founded on first hand repetitive experience and not assuming what I read online is true.
Trust me Ira I've been the asshole plenty. Your first step to recovery is accepting it, not pretending you're never wrong.

Was not ignoring you, my job as a professional babbysitter got in the way, had to count inmates......

As a whole your experience is a drop in the pan, Mustangs have been around since before you were born and thier popularity has only increased. Why is that? Well, because they are good cars that have the same problem all the others do, minor issues that need addressed. I have owned a few and they have all been great cars! They have after market support second to none ...... well maybe the Harley Davidson..... The only thing close to a Mustang rally in popularity would probably be again Harley Davidson rally. Why is that? Well, it sure in not due to the fact that Ford has been designing and producing shit quality cars! So no, I will not say sorry for being correct in defence of the Mustang.....But I will say sorry for acusing you of being dropped on your head

The End :smootch:

Oh we were talking about old shit, not new stuff that should or shouldn't be recalled? Or shaping the argument to fit your side. Damn ira you should be a liberal politician. Or even a newscaster. Insert your choice of expletive here.

Well I've read all the arguments.... Ford still sucks.

That is all.

What's that got to do with product reliability?

I can simply attest to my own personal experiences and knowledge. Everyone I know that owns a Ford truck does nothing but bitch about them. Guy on my team was a Ford die-hard until his latest Power Stroke set him back over $8K in repairs in a 3 month time span. He traded it in on a 2002 Cummins 3500 that I suggested he go check out. He can't stop saying how much he loves that truck. He's had it a year and tows a 30' 5th wheel 6-10 times a year. Hasn't spent a dime on repair and it hasn't been in the shop except for an oil leak that the dealership fixed as part of the sale agreement.

Oh, and the last thing he bitched about was when he traded in his newer Ford for the older Dodge. They low-balled him on trade in value because "No body wants these. We can't move them anywhere close to blue book value." His truck KBB'd at $13K..... they gave him $7500.

My '04 was my least favorite and was plagued with an A/C blend door issue. Shifting from the auto trans wasn't ideal. Cab design/layout wasn't my favorite. But it never got towed. NONE of my Dodge trucks ever got towed.

Had a whole thing written out in response to this that in true NAXJA style got canned since apparently you need to log in every 5 minutes to NAXJA.

Long story short...arguing about Ford vs. Dodge vs. Chevy makes anyone look stupid.

All diesel trucks cost $ to fix no matter what.

All three brands have their upsides and their downsides. Trying to say why one is better than the other is kind of like trying to tell someone why YOU think an apple tastes better than an orange.

I've seen plenty of Dodge's completely sh*t the bed, and Fords, and GM/Chevy's.

Dodge for some reason decided that a true four door truck wasn't needed...this killed Dodge for me in my budget as well as several others I've talked to.

I've known three people in the last year that have have major failures with their Dodges...meh...it happens.

ANY diesel truck is worth $$$ now. I could easily sell mine for more than I paid for it.

I am literally shocked that Flores has not chimed in on this.

Nope. No change. Ford still sucks.

And that is STILL all. :D

not to mention that "89 was the last year of the bullet-proof 4.0"... I guess all those 1990-2001 XJ 4.0's were made from cotton candy or something.

What a spin-throwing-stereotypical-used-car-selling douche.

Lol. What a tool.

I was gonna say........ should be free to whomever gets it unstuck and off the mountain.
