ROR... "meet the cure"...

My bad, it has been a good 14 years since I've watched that movie. Actually, come to think of it I was probably 9 or 10, so its been a good 20 years. Damn, I'm getting old.

The quote actually was: "You're the disease, and I'm the cure"

And the cars were indeed 50's Mercury, but they built 4 stunt cars and the original scene car was a '50. Of the stunt cars, 2 were '49's and 2 were '50's.

The scene car was stolen from Stallone's personal garage in '90 - a movie car company was the suspect - Stalone sued to get the car back and won.

Rumors had been floating that Stalone sold that car shortly after and it was then made into the sled that appeared in the Nick Cage version of Gone in 60 seconds..... but I tend to believe that Stallone still has his and the sled was one of the stunt cars and not the original. :dunno:

......but I digress. :D

Alex, I'll take 'Usless Car Related Movie Trivia' for $200.

What is....

You got me there. The only movies I can think of with old Mustangs in them are Bullitt and Gone in 60 Seconds.

How about the mid 70's flick about Corvettes? Now that was a good movie. :looney:

Thats the one, not the Nick Cage version but the original 1974 release featuring no budget and the actual stunt drivers as actors.

Oh, Corvette Summer was pretty sweet.
